A broke teenager, abandoned by his family, believes he is suffering from the same illness as his mother. His internet searches confirm his suspicions and isolate him from his friends.
And so begins a descent into hell... or an ascent to an artificial paradise for the young man in search of the truth.

The challenge was to illustrate the paranoia that arises from a self-diagnosis based on web searches. The scenario revolved around various prejudices relating to schizophrenia and drugs. In order to criticise these preconceptions without falling into them, I contacted schizophrenia specialists and researched the effects of the different drugs illustrated in ZigZag.

After writing the first draft of the script, I came across a series on the theme of schizophrenia: Schizo5. This scientific series was produced by the International Association of Schizophrenia Days. So I contacted the association and its president, Jean-Christophe Leroy, was happy to help me with my research.

This film is a kind of tribute to my teenage years, from the age of 15 to 18. It deals with themes that affected me during that period: skateboarding, cannabis, parties, problems with family, friends and love, the amusement park...
