Two children escape to a hut made of sheets and fabrics. Until adulthood arrives.

The challenge of this script was to find the right words for a 10-year-old girl. After a first version of the script, I got some friends to play, giving them only the character sheets and asking them to improvise a first meeting. I incorporated some of the improvised elements into V2.
I cast around twenty young children and two stood out: Lidia and Audrey. They didn't know each other. I gave them the script a few weeks before filming began and they worked on it individually. I didn't want them to know it by heart, but I did want them to have the overall idea for the film. During the shoot, I wanted improvisation to be at the heart of the project. So we used two cameras so that we could use different angles in the same shot. We tried to film them actually meeting, but it didn't work because they weren't comfortable.
So we let them get to know each other while the cameras rolled. Thanks to hours of rushes, the film was rewritten one last time in editing.
