Sisyphe Heureux

Réalisation et montage
The script was written by Hels Coulange, an author friend of mine, who asked me to direct it.
It was the first time I'd directed a film I hadn't written, and I enjoyed the exercise. We discussed the script, Camus' work and his visual ideas. Hels then gave me complete freedom to adapt.
Sisyphe Heureux explores the beginnings of a revolt for liberation from a meaningless world. The Fisherman, the creator of this flat world, is challenged by the characters who rebel against their condition and their imposed roles.
This ode to revolution expresses the young generation's awareness of the absurdity of our society based on work, religion and institutions.
The short film is currently in post-production.
