Scénario, réalisation et montage
This film was made using a semi-direct method: the actors improvised the dialogue based on a detailed synopsis. So we really went on a roadtrip with a small team and improvised, letting ourselves be guided by our discoveries and reflections.
The storyline was written using a body of testimonies and documentation that I collected from the Ouvrir Les Yeux association. They gave me a warm welcome at their open days, which brought me face to face with their reality.
The formal originality of this short film is the omnipresent subjective point of view. Alternating between Matteo's and his friend's, the first-person shots allow us to visualise the degeneration of Matteo's vision and compare it with his friend's 'healthy' vision.
The film is currently undergoing sound mixing, colour grading and VFX creation.
